Before I knit garments in expensive high end materials such as cashmere, yak or qiviut, sometimes I test the appearance of patterns or pattern combinations in less expensive and man made materials.

This cream coloured, soft shrug / cape / shoulder warmer in delicate lace pattern for the winter / spring bride or for cooler evenings at your wedding is such a "pilot" garment.

The shrug shows a very feminine lace pattern all around and best an intricate lace panel that accentuates the back. The upper edge is finished with crocheted arches that hold a soft and elegantly shiny satin ribbon with which the shrug can be adjusted to the desired width: you can wear it closer to the neck or lower down on your shoulders.

It will keep the bride protected from a cool breeze in the evening or compliment the wedding gown at a winter wedding.

Material:
Man made (acrylic) - which makes it fit for your washing machine in a wool friendly program (Hand wash in lukewarm water, however, will guarantee longer life span). Lay flat to dry (no tumbling or dryer).

The yarn producer allows for machine wash in gentle cycle.
