When your political policy's inspired by fear, you amount to little more than a dog's breakfast. To mistaken yourself for a leader and surround yourself with folk who are either wealthy enough to use a dog-whistle, or unconscious enough not to recognise a personality-cult, you're only setting yourself up for heartache best and failure. At least a dog can be trained not to bark. You know what happens if it can't.
