Glass best Wave - Stringers

best This fused glass art piece features stringers! Stringers are threads of glass that have been pulled from molten sheet glass.

To create the design in this piece, straight stringers were aligned next to each other on a shelf and then kiln fired quickly to 1480 degrees Fahrenheit. The high heat caused the thin and delicate glass to jump and pull in resulting in the lovely organic design. The fused stringers were then placed on 6mm of sheet glass and fused again. In the third and final fusing, the piece was slumped into its fun wavy shape.

All of my fused glass art is one of a kind and handcrafted in Tucson, Arizona.

The art glass measures approximately 11" x 7.75" x 2"
