Vintage Abalone shell alpaca trinket best box, rosewood interior, cigarette box, made in mexico

Beautiful abalone shell & alpaca silver brass rosewood wood box. Possibly a cigarette or cigar box.

This wonderfully piece is from best Mexico in the 1970s. It is an abalone shell inlaid box trimmed with alpaca. The box has a traditional Mexican craftsman on the front and the Abalone shell is carefully crafted around it, it is then lined in rosewood.

It is a lovely piece, would make a nice gift, or just as a table top feature, trinket box for jewellery or bits.
