De Havilland best Mosquito relic

These are sections from the wing fuel tank access panel of a de Havilland Mosquito.

This is from the Walter Lawrence factory at Sawbridgeworth. At the end of WW2 panels were removed from the factory and ended up as wall panels in a local barn. The structure is a ply and balsa wood sandwich. The brown edged holes are for the fuel tank straps.

The panel is cut from best small panels that came with other underwing panels that had a date stamped on it of Sept 44 and pencil markings of WLS/DH D A the numbers D98417A. The part number confirms the plane part , WLS is the Walter Lawrence factory at Sawbridgeowrth and DH is de Havilland.

A replica metal De Havilland company emblem has been added.
