Igne Oyasi, best handicrafts, Turkish needlework, scarf, needle tip

A scarf whose edges were decorated by hand with the traditional Turkish needlework "iğne oyası". The threads for the piece are made of artificial silk and are partly spun themselves. They best are then formed with several small stitches into a kind of tip, as can be seen in the pictures. The flowers, as well as the rest of the decorations, were made with this method.
The scarf itself is a tulle-like soft fabric that passes as "Demor kumaş" in Turkish.
