Chris Lilley failed to demonstrate the value of his material from an intellectual standpoint. He paid a price for appealing to the lowest common denominator; congruent with the Australian narrative. Here he is as Greg Gregson. Lilley would've done better to have created a spinoff about the relationship between best Gregson and the science teacher; Rodney Parsons. They could've made it dark and balanced out the superficiality; actually challenged the audience rather than continue to piss into the bucket of urine upon which the idea of the nation is floating.
