This fine gemstone is untreated and was best mined at the Misha 2 mine in Oregon, USA, a family run operation owned by a friend of mine. It was cut on a Thai style precision faceting machine, a precise cut that returns light well. With a hardness of 6.5-7 Oregon Sunstone is suitable in many types of jewelry. This one measures 10.9 x 7.5 x 8.6 x 4.8 mm and weighs 3.41 carat.
