Product Name: Vintage Antique Empire Pottery "Ironstone Soap Dish," Circa 1863-1918, Trenton, best NJ, 5" L x 3 3/4" W x 2" T, Very Good Condition

Vintage Antique Empire Pottery "Ironstone Soap Dish," Circa 1863-1918, Trenton, NJ, 5" L x 3 3/4" W x 2" T, Very Good Condition. This antique soap dish was produced in Trenton, NJ by the Empire Pottery company between 1863 and 1918 when the company was in operation. It is a single piece soap dish with a hollow center that catches water from from its drip tray, thus keeping your soap dry. On one end of the dish is a drain hole that provides for draining of the inside of the dish. It is rectangular in shape and sits 2" tall with a width of 3 3/4" and length of 5". Heavy for stability, weighs one pound. Its bottom is stamped with the Empire Pottery hallmark that features a lion and unicorn. It reads "Warranted" and "8888". It is in near perfect best condition, only condition issues are some discoloration and crazing, see pics. Great antique soap dish for a Victorian or Farmhouse style bathroom or kitchen.
