best The Stealth Hippy tinder kit is a complete fire lighting system built around the unique Stealth Hippy firesteel, all housed in a hand crafted leather pouch.

The ferro rod itself is mounted in a wooden handle which offers it support, preventing it from snapping prematurely.
The end of the striker is a useful tinder prep tool, which can scrape birch bark to a powder or fluff a jute candle. Once the firesteel has worn down flush with the handle it will also allow you to continue striking until the rod is completely used. At which point another steel can be mounted to the handle.

The side of the striker features a striking port, which will concentrate sparks into a confined area, making it far more efficient than conventional steels. There is also a groove which helps position jute candles over the port, enabling you to light them like a match in your hand.
