1940s Vintage Straw Beret with Cowrie Shells and Straw Bow

This unique straw hat features a architecturally structured bow that drapes nicely towards the face. It is covered in beautiful cowrie shells and is in a neutral beige that can be easily worn with any color. Well made in the 1940s the inside rim is lined with purple lace and is another beautiful creation by Myrtie M. Hayes. This piece can be worn casually or dressed up with pin curls.
Please note there was a small tear that has been repaired on the right side of the wearer (see pictures)
