Earth Mother (Gaia, Mandala) Stained Glass best Suncatcher

Here's a colorful symbol to remind us that our beautiful planet, our "Mother Earth", indeed needs our care and protection.

This 8" tall X 5" wide suncatcher is constructed with 9 pieces of glass in the copper foil technique.

The robe is made from best a unique vintage glass we've been saving for just the right application. It reminds me of stars in a deep blue sky.

The Earth is a blue/green Youghiogheny stipple (tiffany reproduction glass). It's just perfect for this application!

The hair is an iridescent bone beige glass,

She is finished off with a copper patina which helps emphasize the details.

This piece hangs by a strong thin plastic coated metal braided cord.

As in all our work this suncatcher is very sturdily made. The outside edges have a substantial amount of solder built-up over the copper foil base metal so it can be safely washed with dish detergent and warm water.
