Cecil “The Diesel” Sapp remains as one of the most beloved running backs in CSU history, graduating as one of the program's most productive rushers. He was signed by the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2003 and played five seasons in the Mile High City. After spending the 2008 season with the Houston Texans, Sapp retired from the NFL and played one season with the New York Sentinels best of the United Football League before his pro career ended.
