This is a large, freeform polished specimen of Stichtite in Serpentine, aka Atlantisite.

This stone has been mined from a fairly new operation at Nevada Creek, bordering next to the Red Lead Mine in Dundas, Tasmania. Material from this mine is slightly darker than the other nearby location for Atlantisite, and is associated with needles of aragonite and small balls of opal.

ATLANTISITE aka Tasmanite is a rare mineral with a unique combination of colours - Serpentine (green) and Stichtite (purple). It is found ONLY in Dundas, near Zeehan, Tasmania, Australia where it is mined exclusively.

ATLANTISITE is an earthy stone with some grounding qualities. It resonates with all of nature and mother earth, promoting growth and well being.
