Vintage 1950s Chinese Familie Rose Porcelain Boy Figure Pillow Box Opium (PRE-OWNED) This is wonderful vintage 1940s-1950s Chinese famille rose porcelain created as a rare pillow boy storage box. The white porcelain face has delicately painted features with a slight blushing to the cheeks. This soft painting style is indicative of its age. The body is painted all over with richly colored thick enamels in classic famille rose colors and patterns. He is in a reclining position with his arms underneath him and his feet crossed in back. The top lifts off to reveal a storage box which is marked with an iron red stamp. The fronts of the two pieces have curved edges which fit nicely together. The bottoms of each piece are also marked with iron red stamps, all three different.
