This colourful and wonderfully detailed hand painted figure brings to life the casbahs of Marrakesh! A street beggar sits on a striped rug, cross legged on a wall with his tambourine and singing for his supper. It was designed by Leslie Harradine and in production between 1929 and 1969. This one has been in a family since early mid-century.
Highly glazed best fine bone china. Made in England. It bears the black Royal Doulton stamp and an S or 5 and a 6.
It is in immaculate condition having had very careful owners. The base has age scuffs on the unglazed rim.
