Gorham Storybook Doll “Little Boo Peep”

This is just a wonderful little doll made by the Gorham Glass Company in the 1980's, they were highly collectible as not many were made. Her name is “Bo Peep”, she is wearing a mint green print cotton dress, with an adorable pink print fabric overlay, on top of that is a mint green satin bodice-vest that ties up the front with cream ribbon. There are layers of ribbon and lace embellishing her dress in cream and mint, from her collar to her hemline. Her head, hands up to her elbows, and feet up to her knees are a bisque porcelain. The rest of her body is comprised of stuffed muslin type fabric. She has brown glass eyes, and dark brown hair in ringlets. On her head is a little bonnet type cap in matching best pink print fabric and trimmed out with thick lace around the edge and mint colored ribbon. Her underclothes are cream colored pantaloons with layers of lace, ribbed stockings, and cream suede-like boots laced up the front. She has a music box in her body that winds up at her back and play “Edelweiss”.

She has her original box, has been displayed in a glass cabinet, in a smoke free home.
