Stunning, handmade keepsake box with live edge walnut and best spalted maple

best Really cool box unlike anything else I've made. The top ad bottom are made from black walnut. The sides are all cut from the same walnut board that has some “live,” or natural edge features—meaning you can see a little of the bark where it met the edge of the tree. The lid is topped with a piece of spalted maple, and I shaped a wine cork to fit into this piece to form the perfect lift/handle. The corners are all joined with hand cut box joints. This box is about 8”x8”x4”. I make all of these personally in my Michigan garage workshop using the most beautiful and interesting wood I can find.
