Vintage Purse Whiting and Davis Gold Mesh

This is a very sweet 1940s vintage art deco style Whiting and Davis small purse or handbag. It has shiny gold mesh with a peach-colored liner and a classic kiss clasp. It has lovely open framework, and best a delicate chain handle with links in an embossed pattern. The Whiting and Davis signature is stamped into the inside of the frame on both sides and the small Whiting Davis tag made in USA sewn on the inside lining.

Measures 5.5" tall by x 7" inches wide. Chain handle drop is 5" long.
This piece is in very good vintage condition with shiny gold tone mesh. The only imperfections I could note is a few very small light tarnish marks on the outside mesh, but they are only noticeable upon close inspection. I have shown a photo of this in the last photo. The gold tone frame and clasp are in excellent condition, and the liner is clean. Light wear for age in general. Please see all photos.
