The Abduction of Psyche, vintage, handmade lacquer box. The original art was painted in 1895 and has been recreated with exceptional use of color, detail and brush strokes. This painting has a wonderful portrayal of love and innocence that is sure to capture the hearts of all who see it. William-Adolphe Bouguereau was a French traditionalist whose realistic and mythological paintings were based on Classical subjects, mainly focused on the female form.
