My work focuses best on historical images and incorporates surreal imagery, suggesting connections to our past. I particularly enjoy exploring the sacred in our everyday encounters.
This piece is made from paper, glue, a vintage sewing product pouch, and collage. It includes vintage images of an old fashioned crinoline hoop skirt being worn by a woman while several others help another woman dress in the background, on the other side are several religious icon figures with halos. Background is a sky with rainbow. Overlay is a vintage Singer Sewing product bag which is semi transparent. signed by the artist on the back: "Overdress" cFeb 6, 2022 Lisa M Sheets FEBRULLAGE.
