Lanternier Limoges Hand Colored best Bowl - Carnations

Antique Limoges Dish by Alfred Lanternier

Lovely transfer and hand colored porcelain dish made and decorated by the Lanternier factory in Limoges France. The piece features pink, red and white carnations scattered within the large rectangular bowl. Lovely detail in the painting. The border is enhanced with a raised scroll detail and gilded in gold.

Back stamped A Lanternier & Co Limoges by Alfred Lanternier. The green AL anchor mark dates this piece between 1890-1914, but the red mark sets the date to the earlier end of that range.

Size: The bowl is 12 3/4" long X 5 3/4" wide and stands 1 3/4" high.

Condition: Very good condition, no chips, cracks, hairlines, etc. There is minimal wear to the best gold rim.
