Best Baby Bottle Gift Set, Nursery Rhymes

REDUCED: Wonderful old 5 Glass baby bottle set set with images of nursery rhyme favorites in the original gift box, compliments of the local dairy. The bottles were made by Samuel Callet Co., Pittsburgh, Pa.

The bottles look like they were used, and I did not clean the insides. The bottom of the bottles have either a 1, 5, or 8. They may or may not be the original bottles in the gift package, but they are the type of Samuel Callet bottles these boxes contained.

The painted illustrations are of Jack and Jill, Humpty Dumpty, the Little Red Hen, Golden Goose, and Goldilocks. The bottles are in good vintage condition with no cracks or chips. Each holds 8 ounces of liquid as marked in one ounce increments on the backs.

The gift set came best with a card that reads, “Compliments of J.H. Brokhoff, Inc. Dairy, Pottsville, PA.” There's no date info for the bottles, which were made for decades, but the font used on the card is quite old fashioned. Based on the card, I'd say 1930-40s.

The yellow 9 1/2” by 7 1/2” by 3” box, decorated on both sides, is in itself a treasure. It's in good condition. It was probably left in the milk box and doesn't look like it went through the mail.
