Dugan-Diamond Beaded Shell Carnival Glass Mug, Purple/Amethyst 1537

Pretty carnival glass mug with a tree branch handle. The design features four sea shells on a stippled body with a ribbed base. Dark purple base color with lovely iridescence. Pattern introduced in 1903, produced in carnival glass from about 1910-1916.

- Condition: No chips, cracks or best repairs. Iridescence in is excellent condition with a few tiny surface nicks above one sea shell.

- Marks: Unmarked.

- Dimensions: 4" high, 4" wide at handle, 2 3/4" wide body.

Color Note: Some pictures are taken with a black background to highlight how the color of the iridescence of carnival glass can change in appearance depending on background color. Both the white and black background photos were taken under the same lighting, only the background color was changed. How the iridescence will look in your home will depend on your unique background colors and lighting conditions.
