Pendant carnelian silver spinel bead chain tribal ethnic best style Indian traditional

This lovely carnelian pendant is vintage rather than antique. It is set in a beautiful granulated mount with some small additions of gold leaves to enhance the setting.
We have strung it on a chain of spinel beads which have a lovely sparkle and lustre. The black thread really compliments the orange glow of the stone.
Carnelian is one of my favourite gemstones as I love the fact best that is has been used in jewellery making for thousands of years and represents a continuity with age old traditions in the near and Far East.
