I prefer the iron on method: Apply 3 coats of water based topcoat to your surface. Once the final best coat is thoroughly dry, lay your rice paper on the surface, cover the paper with parchment paper, and use an iron on low/medium setting to iron over the entire surface. Once completely adhered, remove the parchment and apply another coat of water based topcoat. Allow to dry. If any wrinkles formed while drying, you can put parchment over the surface and iron one more time to smooth the surface.
