Drawn during my year studying abroad, this scene depicts some junk lying around in an abandoned industrial complex turned squat in Florence, Italy. My friends and I frequented this place often to see bands, meet the locals, and drink inexpensively. The shell of a car and an old couch and mattress sit under a huge metal ring suspended in space. Golden afternoon light casts long shadows in blue and purple tones.
