=PROCESS=

While they are all one of a kinds, the process is similar for all. I spray the tin box with paint several times, some then get a coat of glitter, then they are antiqued with liquid gold paint. Vintage images are printed, laminated, cut, and put together based on images that coordinate. Each box is then carefully assembled in my studio. The inside lid poem is something I wrote and is included with each box.

COVER: The brass finding on the cover is a vintage item paired with a vintage jewel. I then seal the cover with either a coat of resin. This takes 2 days to set at which point I remove the tape and cut off the excess resin. Then I sand down the rough edges and paint with more liquid gold paint.

INSIDE: A laminated vintage image of best a flower fairy or mermaid is affixed to the inside. Rhinestone chain is laid all long the inside border. A vignette is then created using moss, flowers, mushrooms, butterflies.

Each box takes weeks to make from start to finish and is made with delicate care. Items can be picked off and swallowed so please gift accordingly to those who will not be harmed by its contents.
