Lancaster Jelly Knife by Gorham Sterling ca 1897 no best mono

This Jelly Knife is 7" long by 1 1/8" and weighs 29 grams and is not monogrammed. It has a straight cutting edge on the left side. It is used to serve aspic jelly, cheese cake or any best gelatinous food that would hold together. The jelly knife in the Lancaster pattern is available in two sizes and shapes, this one is the small size, the other is larger and a different shape, more like an axe and harder to find on the aftermarket.
