Sunkissed best Hibiscus

"Sunkissed Hibiscus" is a handmade piece of wall art. It was created using a wooden cutout purchased best from another Etsy shop.

The wood was first primed with a single coat of gesso. Next, I combined varying colors of acrylic paint with floetrol, silicone, and water. The colors were layered on the wood, and then I used the "swipe" method of fluid painting to create the cells formed in this piece.

Once the paint dried, I sealed it with mod podge, and finally coated it with two coats of ArtResin brand epoxy resin, which gives it such an incredible shine.

This piece measures 15 1/2 inches from the top to the bottom, 14 inches at its widest point, and is 1/4 inches thick. There is a metal hanger attached to the back of the wood for hanging on a wall.
