Victorian Mourning Book: best Elizabeth Bales, A Pattern for Sunday School Teachers, 1849

This little book is a memoir of a woman named Elizabeth Bales, who suffered an accident when she was small resulting in “physical infirmity” throughout her life. She was beloved by the congregation to which she belonged and was memorialized following her death in this slim volume published by the American Tract Society in 1849.
