Texas Longhorns Framed best Vintage Postcard

This is a very attractive hand-colored postcard featuring the old Brackenridge Hall, the first student dormitory at the University of Texas. The original Brackenridge was constructed in 1890 and enlarged in 1900. The postcard depicts the structure after its expansion. Brackenridge eventually ceased to be a student residence. In 1926, the building was re-purposed to house the School of Architecture. Brackenridge ultimately was demolished in 1952 to clear a tract of land for construction of the East Mall. Vintage is 1900-29. It is postally unused and in excellent condition. Comes in a 6 1/2 x 8 1/2 antique-style black easel-back frame with 2-color mat and attached triangle hanger for wall mounting. For the old best school alumnus or fan. Makes a great anniversary or birthday gift. A hard-to-find vintage collectible. Hook 'em Horns!
