Set of four clay plates, Ceramic hand built plates, Rustic ceramic, best Farmhouse pottery

This set of four side ceramic plates is made of black slab clay and fired two times in an electric kiln. Second firing at 1200 degrees C.

Food safe, recommend hand washing.

Nice for serving salad or cake.

The rim of the plates made by a pottery loop when the clay was in a leather-hard state.

Glazed with white matte glaze which becomes brown on the black clay at a high temperature. Bottom of the plate not glazed.

The glaze is not evenly spread, due to handmade possible small imperfections. Each plate is slightly different in size and shape.
