Designed by John Clappisson for Hornsea Pottery, England, in 1968 the Heirloom design was so popular that is was in production until 1987.

This delightful Sugar canister is dated 1973 and is in exceptional condition. The seal on the lid is tight and secure, while across the piece there are no chips, cracks, repairs, or even crazing — which is common on Hornsea pieces. (The occasional white marks visible in the photos are lint from paper towels used to dry the canister after cleaning, however we will rephotograph once the sun returns!).

It measures 15.5 cm (6.1") high and is 12 cm (~4.7") across the base, and will make a fabulous addition to your country kitchen decor.
