The remote works, too, and will include the original Sony batteries and a fresh set. This unit is preowned and in very good condition. There is a small scratch on the top of the unit, which I pointed out in the photos. Otherwise, this machine is super clean. Note: You will need your own best receiver and speakers as this is a component CD unit. An optical cord can be used, but it is not included, only the AV input & output cables.
