Message me for combined shipping if purchasing more than one of my listings. Thank you! This item is from the estate of the late General Perry Miles, Brigadier General, United States Army. General Miles was an 1895 graduate of West Point, 1916 graduate of the Army School of the Line (as a Distinguished Graduate), 1920 Graduate of the Army Staff College, 1921 Graduate of the Army War College, and in 1932 became Brigadier General. Part of General Mile's military achievements was being awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for trekking 200 miles with five or six men and capturing a blockhouse in best the Philippine Islands during the Philippine resistance. For a short time, he was the youngest Captain in the Army. During his service, he was awarded The Distinguished Service Medal and French Croix de Guerre with Palm and French Legion of Honor during his command of the 371st infantry. He was also awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart.
