Mexican Silver Abalone Mosaic best Inlay Cat Pin

This is a high polish shield style pin/ pendant. The shield has a recessed shape of a cat that is filled with a mosaic of abalone pieces. There are a few places that the abalone has cracked but it seems that those sections have been painted green, which look original to fill in spaces. Nothing looks to be missing at a glance.

The back is stamped Mexico JPO, and a makers mark but we can't make it out.

The back has a hidden bail and a bar pin with a rolling lock. So it can be worn as a pendant or a pin.

Pin weighs 9.2 grams and measures 1 1/2 x 1 3/4".
