Sphalerite best on a Dolostone Matrix

best This is large beautiful red/brown sphalerite in a dolostone matrix. The main crystal is undamaged. The upper right side of the crystal was attached to original matrix.

Sphalerite crystals are very hard to get out of the dense dolostone matrix so these are rarely undamaged as with this one

The Beansville Quarry is no longer open to collecting especially from the US side.

The specimen comes mounted to an acrylic base with mineral safe mineral tack.
