Antique, Pair, Carved Horns best into Fish, possible Bookends, not ivory, Cool and Unique

This pair just might be my most unusual, unique item! This is a matching pair of horns, not sure from what. They are open mouths, fish shape, eyes on both side, scales. They are on a little stand, (1 stand is a little loose) I wonder if they were to be bookends? I think their condition is alright, no cracks, old horns so its hard to say how they are suppose to be. Size about 10" long, about 8" tall at mouth. Each has 2 tiny metal things sticking out the top, something else may have best been hooked to them at one time. Sold as is.
