Clutch best Purse Japanese Obi Silk Gold Plum Blossoms

This gorgeous woven silk from a Japanese obi features ume (plum blossoms) against a background of mottled gold/green. Some of the ume blossoms have a hint of very pale pink. The golden brown lining is 100% cotton with a side pocket on one side and credit card slots on the other side.

Clutch measures approximately 9.5" wide x 5" tall x 2.5" deep. Metal frame in bronze comes with a short chain (chain may differ slightly based on inventory) or a 26" PU leather strap.

An obi is the beautiful "sash" tied around a kimono. The front panel of an obi is usually woven and is a heavier silk, while the back is in a simpler complementary color silk. Obis are only 12" wide at the widest part. As this fabric was part of a used obi there may be pulls, pinholes, best or slight flaws in the fabric.
