best Original Antique Georgian Cut Steel Coin Purse - Made circa 1800 to 1820's

Knitted red thread purse with cut steel bead decoration, and metal clip frame

The frame has a metal push-button fastener, and no handles - only a loop at the top/back for attaching to a chatelaine or belt accessory

Sprung metal embellishment at the bottom

Condition: Fair to good vintage condition, no holes or tears to the fabric (some repairs around the frame), but some light discolouration to the red thread and tarnishing/areas of rust to the steel beads and clip frame - common with George Cut Steel jewellery and accessories. Button-fastener and hinge in full working order, with a firm SNAP close. Original loop for hanging from chatelaine attached to the frame. Possible repair to the base of the purse - the sprung metal attachment may be a (period) replacement.
