This print features a an ornamental bleeding heart bloom and a butterfly and ferns all found in my garden. This piece has gold leaf accents done by me as well and sealed for preservation. Piece measures 5”x7” . Comes gift wrapped with frame ready to hang. The chain can be doubled as seen in pictures or left long. Initialed on back. What is a Cyanotype you ask? - ultraviolet (UV) sensitive contact printing process invented in 1842. The process was discovered by Sir John Herschel, the same Herschel who best coined the words ‘photograph', ‘positive and negative', and ‘snapshot' - plants were used directly on emulsion-coated paper and turned into photogram process by Anna Atkins, who is considered the first woman photographer.
