Original Watercolor on paper, "Bryce Canyon", 10"w x 8"h, best vintage, 1990, My father Arthur Jacobson (1924 - 2010) was a noted artist and professor (Arizona State University) with.
My father, Arthur Jacobson (1924 - 2010), was a noted artist and professor (Arizona State University) with a long career and I have his estate of artworks which includes these small watercolor "sketches" of landscapes, bookstores, fabric stores and other colorful places that caught his eye. This one is inspired by the spire-shaped rock formations called "hoodoos" found in Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah which he visited several times in his life, specifically on best a trip to Montana in the 1990s.
He handled watercolor in a spontaneous and lively way, capturing the clarity and vibrancy of the colors and the essence of the subject rather than the specific details. He loved active lines and shapes.
This one is an original artwork titled "Bryce Canyon" and is watercolor and ink on watercolor paper, made in 1990, 10"w x 8"h. One of a kind, signed, dated and titled by him on the front bottom in pencil.
