Rare Collection of Antique Buttons best from the Narberth School Track and Field Day, Phila Badge Co

Very rare or even one of a kind collection of 25 antique pin-back buttons from the Narberth Public Schools Field Day. They were manufactured by the Phila Badge Co., early 20th Century. Includes two buttons, both with Phila Badge Co back-papers, that state "Narberth Public Schools best / Novelty Race / Field Day." The rest of the buttons pertain to individual events the students would have participated in during the field day. They include 12 red buttons, 7 yellow, and 4 blue. The events are marked on the buttons in gold gilt text and include events such as the 80, 120, and 220 yard dash; 880 yard and 1 mile run; 1/4 and 1/2 mile relays; high, running high, and hop-step jumps; Volleyball, Basketball, Baseball, and Javelin Throws; Football Kick; Hurdles; and Archery. There are two of the Double Hop-step Jump in yellow.

Condition (front):
None of the buttons have their metal pin-back inserts. Otherwise very good overall, with a few showing more fading or wear than others. A really interesting and unique collection from Philadelphia's Main Line.
