Grinnell Pioneers Framed Vintage Tobacco best Silk

This is a curated antique Grinnell College tobacco silk that was offered as a premium item best by Egyptienne Luxury Cigarettes of New York City. Even though the tobacco silk displays "Iowa", the Latin inscription on the silk is "Collegium Iowense Grinnelli". When the tobacco silk was produced, the University of Iowa was known as the "State University of Iowa", and "S.U.I." appeared on its silk! Vintage is 1905-15. It is in excellent condition. Comes in a 3 3/4 x 5 black easel-back frame. For the old school alumnus or fan. Makes a great anniversary or birthday gift. A rare vintage collectible and a very special item!
