This art piece is 100% needle felted by hand in various wool varieties including Merino and Leicester. Needle felting is a process that allows "painting" and sculpting with wool. By using a large, barbed needle I poke the fibers until they matte together creating a unique 3 dimensional piece of art with much personality. This process takes many hours.

This piece is inspired by my musings on trees as a metaphor for reaching for goals with the coloring of the sky reminding me of a new dawn.

The art is permanently mounted in the frame with no glass so the dimension of the work can be appreciated. It is ready for display.
