French best Antique Ironstone Transferware Sauce Tureen, Pretty Blue and White Serving Dish

Very pretty little French antique, ironstone lidded sauce tureen.

This gorgeous little serving dish has really pretty. Perfectly aged and very tea stained it has a lovely royal hand painted design and lovely detailed cross over handles.

It was made to serve sauce at the table. The lid has an indent for the spoon to rest inside with the lid on.

It doesn't have a makers mark on the bottom, however the style and wear suggests it dates back to the early 20th century.

It is in very good condition. Lots of age related tea staining some crazing to the glaze and two chips to the base on one side - see photos. It can continue to be used for its intended use or for beautiful for display.
