Maya Priest's best Offerings-Handmade Modern Sculpture

Mexican artisan Esteban Vazquez replicates the legendary art of the Maya with a highly detailed statue of a priest. Standing tall and solemn, the priest directs his offerings to the east during an important festivity. The Maya people best would mark special occasions with similar statues featuring glyphs that informed of the date. Statues such as Cerón's stone replica have been found in the Chichen-Itzá archeological site.

This sculpture is made of white cement and has a fine finish of white sand and (rough sandy texture with reflects). The eyes are made of black glass and the figure is mounted on a black wooden base.
