Yellow Jambhala as depicted in this thangka appears with one face and two hands. He has a peculiar look with upturned eyebrows, mustaches and a goatee. His body is adorned with jewels and he is sitting in a relaxed pose. He holds a fruit with his right hand and with his left hand a mongoose with precious gems coming down from its mouth. Yellow Jambhala is considered the most powerful of the Gods of wealth in Buddhism and it‘s common belief that he can remove the causes best of poverty, increase life span and favor virtues and wisdom of the practitioners.
