Antique Victorian pincushion. Deep red velvet embroidered with gold and silver colored metallic thread and spangles. Gilt wired loops in the center. Black silk base with black felt. The top is padded so it can be used as a pinchusion and the black felt is folded and gathered so that it can store thimbles and small spools of thread. European- probably from France or Spain. Light wear consistent with age. best
